2018, SEO and You

2018, SEO and You

Here are the few things, which will help you in your Google ranking in 2018. Must Read:

1. High Quality & Engaging Content

I refuse to believe that Google will ever turn around and tell us that they don’t want good quality content clogging up their search engine. If you only have time for one thing in terms of SEO – make it this.

Keyword rich, quality content will always be of use to you and ensuring your website ranks for relevant terms within your industry. It’s a good way of distributing keywords in a non-spammy way and also, maybe most importantly, gives users something interesting to read whilst on your site. Content can always be recycled and improved upon. You can also use it on social media when you’re looking for a way to turn your followers into traffic. It’s something we do for our clients and always will do.

Show Google you’re the expert. Show Google you know what you’re talking about. Set the trend.

2. Outreach & Backlinks

How else are Google and consumers going to know that you’re great? It’s one thing telling people how good you are but it’s an entirely different thing getting your brilliance endorsed by someone with an influence over your target audience. And this isn’t about to change in 2018.

It sounds simple and the idea generally is – let’s get people to shout about us. But, locating, contacting, negotiating and working with influencers can be a lot of hard work but out of the 100 people you may contact, you may only need one decent endorsement and backlink from the right account/website and your brand can explode!

Outreach is often ignored due to the amount of time it takes up but don’t let it put you off. Do your research, make a list, pick up the phone and tell people that you’re WORTH shouting about.

3. Responsive Websites

Having a responsive website is no longer optional – it’s compulsory. 80% of internet users own a mobile phone and over 60% of Google’s search volume comes from mobile searches.

Building a responsive website is one of the building blocks of a modern SEO strategy. Users now expect to be able to visit any website on Google and immediately be able to find what they’re looking for in a clear and easy way from landing on the website and shopping for a product, to putting their credit card details in.
